Have a safe and happy March Break!

P.S. I will keep the blog up and running so that you can still access the cool links, but I will not be posting to it.

Take care!

One More Week...

Where's spring already? This winter has been WAAAAAAAY too long! Hopefully the weather warms up for our trip.

This week in math, we've taken a closer look into multiplication and a quick look at division. You all seem to have a good grasp on grouping and showing multiplication through repeated addition. Over the weekend, I'd like you to try and answer these multiplication questions using pictures, numbers and words.

Remember, 2 groups of 4 is the same as 2 x 4.

2 x 6 =

4 x 2 =

2 x 2 =

3 x 6 =

5 x 5 =

6 x 3 =

In science, we've begun our unit on Air Water and the Environment. This week, we read a Magic School Bus Book on the water cycle and discovered that water is recycled. We reviewed that water comes in 3 states (solid, liquid and gas)and that when it changes from a liquid to a gas we call that change evaporation, and from a gas to a liquid is called condensation. We also looked at how we could find the three states of water in nature.

Have a look outside over the weekend and see if you can find water outside in nature as a solid, liquid and gas.

That's all for now! Have a great weekend!
